Join a true floral immersion where new skills will be taught and your designer’s eye expanded. Experience a creative space for expanding your vision completely focused on locally sourced materials in the SlowFlowers fashion. Inspiring your imagination, delighting your senses, expanding your community and boosting your confidence are the goals with this comprehensive 2 ½ day workshop.

O’Donal’s Nursery is delighted to welcome you to the first annual Enchanted Maine Floral Workshop. Our new state of the art Geothermal green house will be the setting for our floral classroom. With an itinerary of flower farm (Snell Family Farm, Broadturn Farm) and nursery (O’Donal’s) tours your experience of hands on knowledge from seed to bloom is complete. What is gathered and foraged on the tours will be directly incorporated in our classes. Learning how to harvest, correctly process and condition flowers is a key foundation of all designs.

We are honored by our creative team of established designers who will be teaching our classes:

  • Debra Prinzing of Slow Flowers will lead us in several popular writing modules from her Slow Flowers Creative Workshop curriculum. This valuable experience is designed to help you clarify, document and communicate your personal artistic messaging as a floral/creative professional.
  • Brianne Emhiser of stem & vine and Michelle Rech of Electric Flora will be teaching our Centerpieces Large & Small Class.
  •  Rayne Grace Hoke of  KittyWitch Botanicals will be our Floral Jewelry Instructor.
  • Laura L. Wiltse of WestWind Florals is our expert in tablescaping and will be teaching the art of incorporating our lovely designs to set our table for our Goodbye Harvest Dinner.

Together all four teachers will lead us through the creation of a large scale floral installation, which will be engineered foam free, and the backdrop of our floral celebration!

Patricia Takacs of Kivalo Photography is our accomplished photographer and will be documenting our floral journey and capturing images and a portrait of you and your work for your portfolio.

The Kitchen at Snell Family Farm will be catering all our meals (morning snacks, meet and greet nibbles, 2 lunches and our Goodbye Harvest Dinner) Their kitchen works directly with the farm and what is being harvested daily.

Swallowtail Farm will be providing cheese from their dairy, and crafted cocktails from their gardens.

A true experience for all the senses! Join us on a journey of field to vase, forage to art, and farm to table.

The cost is inclusive, including all meals, supplies, photos of your work, and flowers. Leaving you free to enjoy the process of being surrounded by nature and creativity.
